Sort the goal-oriented actions into the order you wish to do them. Set the most important, most remunerative and most difficult nearest the beginning. There is nothing quite as effective as a countdown timer to keep you focused. When you begin a task, set the timer for the duration and hit start. While it is counting down to its alarm you vow to do nothing else but that action. You will be amazed how this will increase your effectiveness.
Multitasking may look like a timesaver at first, but in fact, it creates more stress and frustration since you are managing to do too many tasks at once. Keep a stock of fun activities like books, ipods when you have extra time like waiting in an airport, for a doctor`s appointment, or in traffic. Have a small ritual you do at the end of each day. While work is an inevitable part of our lives, there are time and management tips to manage the daily stress of work and family and avoid burnout to help infuse more joy, productivity and satisfaction. So make those moments count!
Effective time management can mean all the difference in your overall quality of life. For instance, do you get to the end of the day and wonder where the time went? If so do you find that you are distracted all the way home by the tasks you know you should have finished? Most people have some kind of experience like this, but it does not have to be the norm. Let`s take a look at strategies you can use to make the most of your professional time so you are not carrying those tasks around mentally during your personal time.
Next establish which Goal-Oriented Tasks you want to finish this day. Each must be specific. These can be complete tasks or milestones which are part of a larger program. Estimate the time it will take to FINISH each action. As you do this, write each task and its duration on a Daily Planning Sheet. A well-managed day must be realistic. There are always unexpected actions. You Daily Plan should set aside a definite amount of time (30, 60 or more minutes) for the UNEXPECTED. This will also give you the awareness so you can control these events.
"The effect of using this checklist was profound. Instead of just staring out the window in amazement, we looked intently at every moving thing and made sure we distinguished between a Great White Pelican and a Pink-backed Pelican", the director, Robert Gerrish, said. Whether you are planning a stag night or wedding, redecorating your house or running a successful business, checklists can greatly ease stress in your life and make important moments in your life even more special.
For most of us life is a constant battle to stay organized, we write lists of the things we need to and when we need to get them done. However, when the tasks we have to get done get a little more complex a good checklist might come in handy to make sure that everything gets done properly. Using a template for a checklist you can create detailed lists that include groupings of particular tasks and checklists to make sure that you get every task done in the proper order and reduce the risk of mistakes being made.
