Overspending Breaks Your Budget. The main reason to create a budget is to keep your finances under control by keeping track of how much money you are spending and where you are spending it. When you stray from your budget it is usually because your spending too much money somewhere you know you shouldn`t. But if you have a budget that tells you exactly how much you are supposed to spend, then you do not have an excuse to overspend, right?
