My name is KIRSTEN KENNEDY, and I am running to represent Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District in the US House of Representatives. I am a second term mayor of North Branch, as well as an independent community health professional for the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) in Chisago County, and most importantly, a single mother to five amazing children.
I know firsthand the real world struggles that many families face as they balance work, childcare, personal health, advancing their education, and trying to get ahead. As your Congressperson, I will never forget the real problems you, your friends, and your neighbors face, and I will work hard to stand up for all of us in Washington. If elected, every voice will have a place at the table.
As the Mayor of North Branch, I’ve focused on working for all communities. Through hard work and community collaboration, we’ve improved the city of North Branch by increasing jobs, promoting accountability, and investing in local business. Experience has taught me District 8 won’t thrive unless we listen to all of its residents and — together — craft effective solutions which work for everyone. My track record as mayor is one of persistence and getting the job done — despite what sometimes seem like impossibly challenging obstacles. I promise you that I will continue to persist and work just as hard in Congress on behalf of CD 8 citizens, in order to advance our progressive ideals.
I believe strongly in the ideals of our party and I will work each day to make CD 8 an even better place in which to live, learn, and work. I will fight for universal healthcare, access to quality public education, strengthening the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Natural Resources, investment in high-speed internet throughout all corners of our region, increasing renewable energy choices, and protecting the rights of workers to organize and collectively bargain.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and as someone who will work on your behalf, I want to hear your ideas, suggestions, and concerns. My phone number is 763.639.4111 and my email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to earn your support in this important election.
I LOOK FORWARD TO LISTENING, LEARNING, AND LEADING
